Our decaffeinated offering changes frequently throughout the year to ensure we minimise the impact of the decaffeination process on the structure of the coffee itself – the process the coffee goes through to be decaffeinated can prematurely age the green beans we roast so we keep things fresh changing the coffee itself pretty regularly. One thing that never changes though is the process we utilise to pull out the caffeine from the bean. We work only with the organically certified Sparkling Water C02 process which combines naturally occurring carbon dioxide with water under pressure to create a sparkling water which circulates through the beans and acts like a magnet to gently remove the caffeine. It is a chemical free process and the good caffeine selectivity of the C02 guarantees a high retention level of other coffee components which are vital in contributing to the taste and aroma characteristics of your brew.

Whatever origin we use, the resulting cup profile of our decaf offering tends to display notes of milk chocolate, raisin and nuts sometimes with a hint of soft orange. We always use a single origin bean for this aspect of our range from our ethical supply chains across Latin America and Africa and would recommend you brew this coffee with a metal filter method such as a French Press, Stove Top or Espresso machine.
